Very important is a home loss of third rankedIndios (4-4) against seventh ranked Leones (4-4) on Friday night. Host Indios were crushed by Leones in San Francisco 99-79 . Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Indios ' 42. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds and American swingman Trahson Burrell (201-1992, college: Memphis) who added 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Panamanian guard Luis Rodriguez (198-1999, college: UNLV) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003) scored 16 points and 6 steals. Five Leones and four Indios players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Leones moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Indios.
